I've been looking through a few more folders of old work and came across these drawings that never really saw the light of day before. Granted they are quite bizarre and I do wonder what was going through my head at the time, but nevertheless I thought I would share them with you. I know my last few post have been about old work, I am doing new work too... I promise!
I was really excited when I was contacted a few weeks back by the guys from Eureka Magazineto produce four illustrations depicting a journey into the sea. It was to accompany an fascinating article from The Times Ocean Correspondent, Frank Pope on marine conservation. The commission was great and really fun to work on and I am very pleased with the outcome in yesterdays issue.
I was introduced to Chris Clark and Fraser Lyness from Eureka Magazine, earlier this year when I was a selected presenter for the Enquiry Desk In Session, held at this years Pick Me Up Contemporary Graphic Art Fair. It was such an fantastic opportunity and the panel had really helpful advice on how to develop my portfolio, I would definitely recommend booking one of their Portfolio Review Sessions
Decided to leave the pressure of coming up with a new narrative etc to one side today and just to play around with using pastels, a bit of photoshop and pattern
The lovely people who created the website for our Cambridge School of Art, Bologna book fair stand website have now added a gallery to the site, please go on and have a look at all the amazing portfolios from other illustrators on the course.
